The Noguchi Institute is a research institute authorized by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. We conduct research and education in order to contribute to society as a public corporation.
Our present research activities are focused on the following two fields.
1) Carbohydrates and glycoconjugates as key compounds involved in various life phenomena
2) Catalyst materials which are useful for the development of environmentally benign processes
As educational activities to cultivate young men and women, we accept undergraduate and graduate students and supervise their theses. We also give lectures at universities as part-time lecturers.
Collaborations with academic and industrial organizations inside and outside of Japan are promoted in order to accelerate our research activities. Commissioned and joint researches are welcomed.
